The Atletico Madrid, USA Youth Academy is an after school program for kids between the ages of 5 and 12. The Youth Academy is an after school technical development program for recreation players who seek a more intense training environment.
Youth Academy training sessions run for 1 1/2 hours and each child should expect to touch the ball a minimum of 2000 times. By using a touch oriented development system the kids will get a better feel for the ball at their feet and workable dribbling moves for their practices and games. Each session is done under the methodology of the Coerver Coaching technique with an additional emphasis on speed, power and flexibility training.
If you are interested in hosting a "Youth Academy" in your recreation or AYSO league please contact us at:
tatownsoccer@aol.com or awilkie@earthlink.net
*Youth Academy availability is based on the number of certified trainers available through our club staff. The cost for the Youth Academy runs between $25-$30 per month per player (1 session per week) with an additional uniform cost. The total cost is divided as follows: 70% to pay trainers, 15% donated to the club for coaching education/scholarships, 15% donated back to the sponsoring youth league.
Atletico Madrid,USA trainers are not certified as Coerver Coaching trainers. Atletico Madrid,USA trainers use the basic methodology presented in the Coerver Coaching Technique.

I just saw Graham Grove (he plays soccer with us on Sunday mornings). He is on Jim Baldovin's team that you two helped at the Youth Academy on Friday. They played a good game and won in yesterday's matchup. According to Graham's mother, each player played well beyond their previously demonstrated ability. She was most impressed ... as were the boys at what they were able to accomplish in such a short time.
This is just proof positive that good training and the right attitude makes all the difference in the performance of players, no matter what the level. Thanks for making the effort.
