Personal Training

Personal training is available through our club trainers. Please make contact with one of the listed coaches if you are interested. During a personal training session a player can expect to touch the ball 2000 or more times. The process of touching the ball in a structured manner will help move the learning process from the feet to the brain. This increase in learning will improve the players overall technical skill and on field reaction time.
Travis Clarke Travis provides personal technical training to kids on the Central Coast, when he is in town. He can only train kids 8th grade and below. Call for availability and cost.

Training Environment

Travis and Nelson work on technique with players in Hilo Hawaii.

Atletico Madrid, U.S.A. trainers focus on technical based learning. This style can be most attributed to teachings from what is called the "Coerver Method". Our coaches add their own individual coaching techniques and employ tactics throughout the entire development process.

The following info was taken directly off the "Coerver Coaching" web page (Click Here). Our trainers seek to follow this development process as closely as their individual skill will allow.

"Coerver Method"
  1. Slow, simple step-by-step repetition of the moves.
  2. Repetition of the moves on the run, without opposition.
  3. Practice drills at increasing speed, with passive opposition.
  4. When confidence is established, full pressure small-sided drills and games usually involving four players against four players with 100% opposition.
Coerver Coaching exposes players to a wide variety of moves, fakes and changes of direction, and encourages them to find those that work for them best as individuals. The result? Highly motivated players with dramatically improved ball control skills and increased confidence on the ball.
