Drill # 1:
Forward Sprinting: Set a starting and finish line 40 yards apart. Lean forward until the band is tight. Sprint forward, driving your knees and arm swings toward the finish line. While you are sprinting, your partner behind you provides resistance. While you are moving, you can tell your partner to increase or decrease the resistance.
To Challenge Yourself: Increase the distance and/or level of resistance.
Drill # 2:
Backward Sprinting: Set a starting and finish line 40 yards apart. Lean backwards until the band is tight. Sprint backwards while you are leaning slightly forward. Lift your heals toward your butt and drive your elbows toward the finish line. While you are sprinting, your partner in front of you provides resistance. While you are moving, you can tell your partner to increase or decrease the resistance.
To Challenge Yourself: Increase the distance and/or level of resistance.
Drill # 3:
Shuffling Across: Set a starting and finish line 40 yards apart. Lean sideways until the band is tight. Shuffle sideways while maintaining a good athletic stance all the way to the finish line. While you are shuffling, your partner to the side of you provides lateral resistance. While you are moving you can tell your partner to increase or decrease the resistance. It is important you train in each direction, building strength and coordination on both sides of your body.
